I’m a lifelong photographer specializing in architecture and fine art, based in Vancouver BC. I have a great eye and a penchant for photogenic bicycles!
When I was growing up on Vancouver Island my Dad, Chuck, owned a camera store. It was in that shop that my passion was kindled, and it was there that with a lot of time and love I taught myself the art of photography. As I grew up and moved away from home, I found work in a series of photo labs across BC and Alberta varying from tiny mom-and-pops to larger operations, but far and away my favourite was Toronto Image Works. At T.I.W. I became a true darkroom rat, and loved every second of it.
In the mid 90’s I moved back to the west coast where I soon welcomed my beloved son to the world, and in 2008 I began my career as a Washington State realtor. Being an avid camera nerd, I was always passionate about getting my listings off on the right foot with a high-quality photo spread. Before long, many of my coworkers were coming to me praising my work, asking if I could shoot their listings as well. If I’ve ever had an “AHA!” moment, that was certainly it. It was clear then that I was on the verge of becoming the professional photographer I’d dreamed of being ever since my days back on the island working with my dad.
If you do what you love, you never have to work a day in your life
